Family and business immigration attorneys Harun Kazmi and Clifford Sakata, of Kazmi & Sakata Attorneys at Law, are proud to announce their ten-year anniversary as a law firm, representing both national and international clients.
“Our highly efficient services include a variety of immigration-related matters including employment and investment-based immigration, as well as family immigration,” said Harun, who speaks conversational German. “We represent clients before government agencies across the United States, including the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (formerly INS), the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.”
Kazmi & Sakata specialize in business and employment immigration, including H1-B Specialty Occupations and TN-NAFTA Visas. They also handle naturalization, the process in which the U.S. citizenship is conferred upon a foreign citizen or national after he or she fulfills the requirements established by Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act.
“Our attorneys also help process and prepare clients to attend interviews at U.S. Embassies and Consulates around the world,” said Clifford, who is fluent in Japanese. “We have been proud these past ten years to serve our clients who are seeking a better life.”
Clifford was admitted to the New Mexico and Hawaii State Bars and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association. He is a board member of the Diego Yokohama Sister City Society and is also a California Real Estate Broker and a California Notary Public. Clifford has also been recognized for his participation in the University of San Diego Immigration Legal Clinic where he assisted low-income individuals with their immigration issues.
Harun was admitted to the California Bar in 2000, and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the San Diego County Bar and the American Bar Association. He is authorized to practice before the Supreme Court of California and the Federal District Court in the Southern District of California. He was also the business and managing editor of the Thomas Jefferson Law Review.
Kazmi & Sakata also offer internships with local San Diego colleges and universities. “We are very proud to mentor these outstanding, dedicated students,” said Harun, “many of which went on to attend law school and have been practicing law all over the country.”
